Getting our Noms Snacking On
As much as we enjoy eating whole foods, we are human and do enjoy chips and sweets. Our philosophy is not denying the foods we crave, but really all about that balanced lifestyle and eating in moderation. We select brands that use quality ingredients and are just as delicious.
We’ve discovered loads of brands at the Natural Products Expo, as part of the #NewHopeBloggerBox program, and always perusing the aisles of grocery markets. This is what we’re currently snacking on… organized by stores we shop at (Costco, Sprouts, Target, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods).
Costco
Tropical Fields Crispy Coconut Rolls
We go coco for coconuts (and black sesame). So naturally, this stood out in the aisle at Costco. The Crispy Coconut Rolls are also nostalgic of the Asian egg roll biscuits that come in square tins. Made with real coconut milk and black sesame, these are so fragrant with every crispy bite.
Season Brand Sardines
Confession of a coupon clipper: the Costco coupon booklet is what first lured us to getting Season Brand Sardines. However, what made us continue to purchase this is because the sardines are sustainably wild caught, high in omega-3, packs a protein punch, and is delicious!
Sprouts
Crunchsters*
Made of organic sprouted mung bean (nut-free, gluten-free, 7g protein/serving, it tastes like potato chips), these babies add such a delightful crunch and texture to our salads. We also enjoy eating it by the handful.
Kettle Brand Chips
Chips are our favorite savory snack and Kettle Brand is our go-to. Thanks to Sprouts recent 72-hour sale on these, we bought 12 bags during their B1G2F, buy 1 get two free.
Target
Prana Matcha Magic*
Satisfy your cravings of dark chocolate, roasted sesame, crispy rice, and matcha all at once. We eat these as an after meal dessert. It always hits the spot.
Trader Joe’s
Dark Chocolate Toasted Sesame Caramels
These gem of a find are the harmonious union of savory-sweet–creamy caramel infused with the nutty, toasty sesame seed flavor. Over the holidays, we included these in baskets for our foodie friends.
Whole Foods
Chomperz
Delectable seaweed curls wrapped in rice and lightly seasoned with a pinch of sea salt has me coming back for more. Kids tested and adult approved.
Saffron Road Crunchy Chickpeas*
These aren’t your basic chickpeas. These chickpeas have been roasted to crunchy perfection and swirled in sweet honey. We eat these by the handful or top our salads.
