Our Finished Kitchen
Possibly our most used (and favorite) part of our house. Our kitchen is finished! We did finally move into our home several months ago, but just getting around to documenting the projects. So many friends have been requesting a kitchen before & after post and photos. Thanks for your patience!
The kitchen had a major facelift. Not sure if you remember what it used to look like and the various projects that went on in this space. Here’s a previous kitchen demo post if you need a refresher. We kept the footprint of the old kitchen layout, but gutted everything else and raised the ceiling to be flushed with the rest of the dining room. We installed new insulation, drywall, plumbing, electrical, Samsung and BOSCH appliances, and an IKEA kitchen cabinet system.

IKEA Kitchen Cabinets
Here’s a previous IKEA kitchen post of why we chose to go with an IKEA Kitchen and also got 15% off during their kitchen event.
- Took it down to the studs
- New drywall
- IKEA Kitchen Cabinetry going up
- Late Nights
Assembled so many drawers and cabinets
Kitchen Subway Tiles
- Before
- After – Installed Tile Backsplash
An easy way to luxe up your kitchen is to install a backsplash. We prefer white subway tiles for its easy-to-clean and a classic and timeless look. Wayne made a genius tile contraption for easy and even adhesive distribution. We just had to place the adhesive putty in the well and push the tile through.
- Tiling materials
- Homemade adhesive install contraption
